Sun City Center Security Patrol

About Us

The SCC Security Patrol operates solely through donations and grants, not through CA Dues monies. We have 5 marked fleet vehicles that operate 365 days starting at 7am. Volunteers donate, at a minimum, 3 hours per month, and choose when they wish to drive and/or dispatch. Vehicles patrol throughout Sun City Center including business districts. During each shift, a dispatcher is in radio contact with the vehicles in case of emergencies. Although affiliated with HCSO, the Patrol members have no policing authority. All residents of the Greater Sun City area are encouraged to volunteer for the Security Patrol. We have protected many lives, found lost pets, responded to Silver Alerts, directed traffic, transported ambulatory people after hours from the hospital to their homes, and checked on parents/grandparents when family members contact us, to name a few of what may occur During a Patrol member's day. As with all non-profits, donations are extremely welcome.
